Coney Ishida is an artist based in Brooklyn, New York.
Her work spans various mediums, including oil painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and collage, and she constantly seeks new ways to express herself.
Her goal as an artist is to make a positive impact on society, with a special focus on creating a world that is kinder to animals and the environment. She is deeply concerned about issues like overconsumption, animal treatment in industrial farming, food waste, and environmental destruction. Through her art, she aims to raise awareness of these issues and advocate for sustainable practices in both production and consumption.
Inspired by the everyday world, nature, and diverse life forms, she dedicates her work to expressing themes of vitality, time, and harmony with the environment. By exploring ideas like the cycle of life, adaptation, and balance with nature, she infuses her art with profound meaning and messages.
In her creative process, she is mindful of her environmental impact, using eco-friendly materials.
She believes in a future where humans, animals, and nature can all coexist in harmony. With respect, mutual support, and compassion, she believes that we can make the world a better place—a world filled with smiles and happiness for all!
